Action Research Basics

Action Research is the foundation of all Agile/Lean methodologies around. The most famous use cases are Agile/Scrum in software development, After Action Review in the US Army and Principles by Ray Dalio.
Action Research is a generator of evolutionary processes. Instead of following any rigid outside process, you better develop your own one in a trial-and-error iterative way. That way you will get something much more effective for you personally.
You can find more details in "Doing Action Research In Your Own Organization" by David Coghlan and Teresa Brannick, or at our blog.
This process is a practical guide to this methodology, not getting too deep into theoretical and technical details of the origin. Given that Action Research is a purely practical approach, I hope that it will be enough for you to get started.
